EMPILAN 2502

EMPILAN 2502 is a coconut diethanolamide produced by the direct amidation of vegetable oil and it therefore contains residual glycerol. As a nonionic surfactant, EMPILAN 2502 is an ideal ingredient for personal care formulations. It provides excellent foam boosting and stabilizing properties when used with anionic surfactants. EMPILAN 2502 also increases the viscosity of liquid formulations and efficiently pre-solubilizes oils and fragrances. These properties make EMPILAN 2502 well-suited for use in products like liquid soaps, body washes and other skin and hair care items. Restrictions on ethanolamines mean EMPILAN 2502 should be used at less than 10% in cosmetic formulations. EMPILAN 2502 is considered chemically stable for at least 12 months and helps create beautifully formulated, long-lasting personal care products.
