EMPICOL OP 301

EMPICOL OP 301 is an aqueous solution of styrene/acrylate copolymer that can impart a milky or translucent appearance to liquid formulations. As an opacifier, EMPICOL OP 301 allows for the development of personal care products with a soft-focus effect when added at levels between 0.1-1.0%. Its very low residual monomer content ensures it will not interfere with common fragrance ingredients. EMPICOL OP 301 also contains mild surfactants that provide conditioning properties without compromising the biodegradability of the final product. Its resistance to microbial growth means preservatives can be added for extended shelf-life of personal care items without risk of contamination.
