SUPERTAB 14SD is a white or almost white, crystalline powder freely soluble in water, practically insoluble in ethanol. It is a lactose monohydrate powder conforming to USP - NF, Ph.Eur., JP pharmacopeial monographs. As an excipient for the pharmaceutical industry, SUPERTAB 14SD offers benefits like residual solvent free manufacturing and compliance to strict specifications for identification, water content, loss on drying, specific optical rotation, proteins and impurities, appearance of solution, clarity and colour of solution, acidity or alkalinity and heavy metals. Its particle size distribution between 45 to 250 microns and microbial quality make it well suited for direct compression tableting. SUPERTAB 14SD is stored in original packaging at temperatures between 5 to 25°C and relative humidity below 70%.
